Kevin Sigai has his heritage in Saibai Island in the Torres Straits, almost Papua New Guinea. Kevin has been living and ministering in Aurukun Aboriginal Community for at least 4 years where we have been partnering to see God's Kingdom come to Cape York. On one of our regular trips into Arnhem Land Kevin heard the Lord speak to him clearly to move to the Gove Peninsular in N.E. Arnhem Land and partner with an Aboriginal minister Gerard (Bunambirr) Marika to provide the desired teaching ministry and support church planting in the region. Kevin and Gerard have been received very well especially in the remote outstations that have only been made accessible with air support provided generously by Mission Aviation Fellowship.
Kevin who has many skills (He welded a shocky mount on our troopy and it is still holding on) had a good job working for the State Housing Department in Arukun but God told him to leave his job and trust Him to move to Gove. Kevin is working casually as a plant operator but any support would release him to get out to the communities who are crying out for the kind of transforming power that only the Gospel can give. The many who have responded to the gospel in Kevin and Gerard's Outreaches so far, need to be discipled.
Ok and when it comes right down to it the troop carrier we have supplied him is so worn out that it blows little balls of flaming oil out the exhaust..which may look pretty at night (pretty scary to some) but they don't run like that forever.
